I wanted to let you know that the Department of Rural Development will be changing their USDA eligibility maps on October 1, 2013.
The USDA program is a 100% financing program designed for outer suburbs and rural areas.
As cities continue to grow and expand the ineligible areas surrounding cities also grow. …in other words the outer suburbs that used to be eligible for a USDA loan suddenly become ineligible.
If you were considering buying a house in the suburbs on a USDA loan I would encourage you to do it now, because after October 1st you may not be able to use the USDA program.
Here is the link to see the future eligibility maps. Just click ont he Future Eligible Areas for single family housing:

If you have been considering buying a home with the USDA program I would recommend two things:
1) Let’s see if you qualify for the program first. Click the orange link above this post and fill out the loan application.
2) Tell me the area or address of the home you are interested in and we’ll see if it is in a USDA qualified area.
That’s it for today!
Have a good day today! …and thanks for reading.
Brett
